After such anticipation for the postman arriving today with a new accordion, the jubilation was dashed upon discovery of dodgy keys, which mean a trip to the post office to fire it back again to the returns people.
Before it got boxed up and put away, it managed to finish off a song in its dying breaths.
‘nice try Rousseau’ has been sitting about for a while looking.. waiting for something to complete it.

I thought it was probably appropriate to break the convention of no capitalisation for Mr. Rousseau; him being such a towering figure of the enlightenment and all.
A recording of ‘sleeping solves nothing‘ has been uploaded, and can be found under the ‘listen’ link at the top of the page. It’ll play host to a variety of musical fancies in the future.
After a year and a half in the musical wilderness, I’ve managed to get over the deep-rooted lovehate relationship I had developed with my guitar to come up with this latest endeavour.
It’ll involve mandolins, glockenspiels and other wonderful things, and is thanks in no small part to the influence of Mr. Toby Hayes of ‘Shoes and Socks Off’ – pictured above enjoying a jacuzzi next to my bespectacled self.
